Catalytic Diesel Particulate Filter (CDPF)

Exhaust gases flow through the silicon carbide filter walls, leaving behind trapped particulate matter (or soot).

The EES filter removes over 98% of particulate mass and reduces the particle number by over 99%, removing all particulate types including ultrafine particles.

The unique catalytic coating on the Carrier Transicold diesel particulate filter substrate, in combination with the DOC, reduces carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon greenhouse gas emissions by over 93%.

When the filter begins to accumulate particulate matter (PM), it will regenerate to oxidize the PM.

The EES utilizes a 3-step process consisting of a combination of passive, active, and active-assist regeneration which is exclusive to Carrier Transicold TRUs.
