Brazed-Plate Heat Exchanger

The brazed-plate heat exchanger (BPHE) offers ultra high efficiency compared to the large, traditional "tube and shell" design. The BPHE uses thin, alternately stacked plates that greatly increase the heat exchange surface, and yet does it in a very compact package.

BPHE technology can be three to five times more efficient than previous heat exchanger designs. The function of the BPHE is to make the refrigerant even colder before it enters the evaporator, which increases frozen cooling efficiency.
